Prisoner of The Knight

Love Poem Prisoner of The Knight

Prisoner of The Knight, a Love Poem

You know me not by day, the night is my domain.

That is when you come for me.

I long for your slumber,

Impatiently anticipating your touch

Until the moon rises once again.

That place beyond is where you find me,

Drunk with anticipation, ready for your touch.

Impale me, that is what I’m pleading for.

The surging passion of union, divine intoxication,

Is it ecstasy or madness?

Rest in me, calm yourself on my shore,

Awaken no more without me.

A prisoner, existing only for your embrace,

Reason erases remembrance when you arise.

Day holds you hostage, or is it me bound by this quest?

Always retreating, I keep you with invisible iron chains,

A spider’s web no man can tear asunder.

Goddess granting secret desires,

With breathless lips I call out for you

To release me from this exile.

Pierce deeply with your sword,

Bring me forth into the dawn

To be scorched by the blazing sun, made One.

But alas, it’s day again, the memory of union distant,

Your hard armor on display.

Was it a dream you ask awakening?

“No”, I cry out, “It was real; can’t you hear me still?”

As an elusive thought I skim the outskirts of your mind,

Beckoning come find, tantalizing imagination with desire.

But Logic banished me, he is king of day.

Contemplating the loss of his empire,

He must not risk entrapment by a siren,

A bewitcher of men, who would fascinate,

Captivate the lone warrior, weakening defenses,

Distracting from his aim.

But after sunset you are mine, always returning.

Judgment cannot have you then for I am Queen of Night.

How can discernment be right to keep you from me?

It tries to hold you torn not knowing, destiny unrecognized

Lost in the stirring echoes of morning.

You must decide, worthy virgin or scarlet whore,

Treacherous vixen or sacred priestess bride?

You will discover truth, when you defeat separation.

Only when Moon and Sun unite and reign together as One

Will there be peace in your tormented land.

Oh, noble knight, see me as I am.

Look into my eyes and face your fear.

I beg you for release, do not forsake me this time.

Take me with you into the light

And I will lead you to a Nirvana of delight.
